Bike Park Wagrain Closing Weekend

Helmet camera ride with the GoPro at the closing weekend in the mountain bike park Wagrain, Austria. This trail is only opened on the opening and closing weekend.

I have mounted the GoPro with a self made chest mount. I mounted it on the straps of the leatt brace neck protector.

The GoPro cannot cope with the lighting conditions and the speed. Just at some longer shady sections details of the tracks become visible. The faster the sunny and shady sections change, the more the details become blurred.

I got a GoPro Helmet HERO Wide from xsportfilms.com for testing. I was injured so some friends did some rides with the camera in Morzine. The picture quality is quite good but in the second half the camera is overstrained with the lighting conditions. Helmet camera videos should always be shot with cloudy conditions.
